I am 18 years old and I live on the outskirt of Paris, the beautiful capital of France. My roots come from Algeria. In France, I live with my two sisters who are 11 and 22 years old, and my mum.

I came to America in 2003 to learn the English language as an exchange student and then to discover a new way of life and a new culture. Currently, I live in Adairsville, Eagle Mountain, which is in Bartow County, Georgia with my host family,” The Salame Family.” I have two “host sisters” (10 months and 11 years old) and three “ host brothers” (2.5, 4 and 5 years old).

I am a Senior (12th Grade) at Adairsville’s High School. It’s really a new way of life for me, I discover and learn new things every day.

Before coming in America, I did 5 years of gymnastics and participated in competitions like junior and then senior. I did departmental (by county) and regional competitions. Also, I passed my coach’s exam and judge’s exam; so I am coach and judge too in this sport.

At the same time, I did Taekwondo, but contrary to the gymnastic, I did not compete in my first grade.

Almost all males in my family do or did kick-boxing or martial arts; first of all my Dad (who was a real champion!), then my grandfather, my uncles. My little sister does Aikido and my older sister did boxing and does Taekwondo, like my cousins. WE ARE A BOXER’S FAMILY !!!
